3/4 c. butter (softened)
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 ts. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 ts. baking powder
1 ts. salt
1 1/4 c. milk
In mixer bowl, cream butter and sugar till light and
fluffy, 8-10 min. at medium speed. Add eggs and vanilla,
beat at medium about 2 min. Thoroughly stir together
flour, baking powder, and salt; add to creamed mixture
alternately with milk, beating at low speed after each
addition. Turn batter into 2 greased and floured 9x1 1/2"
round pans.
Bake at 350 for 30-40 min.
