Pineapplesauce Cake


1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, seperated
1 drop almon extract
1 ts. lemon extract
1/4 ts. baking soda
2/3 c. crushed pineapple
1 3/4 c. flour
1 1/2 ts. baking powder
1/4 ts. salt

Cream shortening with sugar. Beat in egg yolks and extracts. Stir baking soda into pineapple and add to mixture. Stir in flour sifted with baking powder. Add salt to egg whites, beat stiff and fold in. Bake in greased 8x8x2" pan about 40 min. Frost if desired.
