Pastry Shell


1 c. flour; unsifted
1/2 ts. salt
1/3 c. shortening or margarine
2 Tbs. cold water (about)

Preheat oven to 450. Mix flour and salt. Add fat. Mix until crumbly. Add water. Mix until moistened. Dough should be just moist enough to cling together when pressed. Shape into ball. Roll to 1/2" wider then pan. Smooth into place, elimanating air bubbles. Fold under edge of pan. Prick well. Bake 12 to 15 minutes.

For unbaked pie shell use same recipe, do not prick.
