Peach Pear Tart


16 oz. Pear halves (save juice)
16 oz. Peaces, sliced (save juice)
8 oz. Cream cheese
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 ts. lemon peel, grated>
9" pastry shell, baked
1/3 c. almonds, sliced and toasted
2 Tbs. orange marmalade, melted

Thoroughly drain fruit, saving liquid. Boil liquid gently 20 min. Cool. Combine cheese and 2 Tbs liquid, lemon juice, and lemon peel. Beat until light. Line bottom of pastry shell with nuts. Carefully spread cheese mixture over nuts. Arrang fruit in alternating pattern on top. Thin orange marmalade with 1 ts. liquid over low heat; brush over fruit. Chill until served.
